My Book of Poetry
Poetry is one of those subjects that we often overlook. Sometimes just because we don't know how to teach it. This CD-ROM will definately get you started!
We have included 20 of our favorite books of poetry, literally from Mother Goose to Shakespeare, in plain text format.
Why plain text?
You can:
- read these on your computer or print out all or parts of them
- copy and paste into any word processing document or email
- adjust the font and size to whatever is easiest for you to read (I prefer a larger print myself!)
- choose a short poem, print it out in large print, and have young children illustrate or copy it for their poetry or nature notebooks
- have an older child read through the poems, copy and paste their favorites into another file, and make a book of their favorite poems -- Have them illustrate it themselves!
- have your computer read these aloud to you with a free program downloaded from www.readplease.com
